Sarteano is an interesting Medieval town in the South of the province of Siena, between the Val d’Orcia and the Val di Chiana, just 7 km from the Chiusi-Chianciano exit of the Autostrada del Sole (A1). Dating back to the times of the Etruscans and Romans, the town is divided between old and new. The old town is bordered by ancient walls, with three arched entrances which, through narrow alleys, lead to the castle at the top of the town, while recent real estate construction is part of the new town. Given the historical importance of the country, there are museums, ancient Etruscan tombs, and important events such as the civitas infernalis not to be missed. Another important and famous event is the Giostra del Saracino, a competition between districts, where five riders challenge each other with a rod and a ring, whoever takes the most rings wins. Sarteano is also in a very strategic position from which the most famous villages of the Val d'Orcia such as Pienza, San Quirico, Montalcino, Montepulciano and the thermal villages surrounding Mount Amiata, San Casciano dei Bagni, Bagni San Filippo and Bagno Vignoni are easily reachable. In an hour and a half you can also reach Rome, Florence and their respective airports.
With the project, the hotel structure will be arranged to make better use of the square footage offered by the property. The 15 rooms on the first and second floors will be halved to make fewer rooms but more spacious. The restaurant on the ground floor will be transformed into a large open space that will be the living area, with a very large kitchen, a dining room, a large living room and two bathrooms. From the outside you can access the two apartments, each with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. The pool area is bordered by a railing and also includes bathrooms and changing rooms. Finally, going down we find a fantastic billiard room, with air conditioning and heating that can become a games room or a relaxation area with spa.
