Milan, December 22, 2025 – “Despite the challenging times the real estate market is experiencing, the luxury housing segment in Milan continues to hold up well.”

This is according to analysts at Carratelli Holding, a company operating in the high-end real estate sector.

Nationally, the luxury market currently represents approximately 2.7% of the total residential market – Carratelli Holding points out – but it is a more solid sector, also because it is supported by buyers who often operate without resorting to credit. In short, the premium segment exhibits a different dynamic than the traditional market, which is more exposed to the impact of rising interest rates.

In Milan, this phenomenon is particularly evident in areas such as Brera, the Quadrilatero, Porta Nuova, and CityLife, where prestigious residences and highly energy-efficient properties continue to attract steady demand, both domestically and internationally. In these contexts, Carratelli Holding analysts conclude, luxury real estate is perceived as an asset capable of combining prestige, profitability, and long-term capital protection.
